We are proud to announce the three finalists for AppMyCity!, our $5,000 contest for the world’s best new urban app.
Selected by our international panel of judges, the finalists are:
- Djump, Paris, France /Brussels, Belgium – a peer-to-peer car sharing service that allows drivers with a car to register, users to request a ride, and drivers to answer the call.
- Peerby, Amsterdam, The Netherlands – a ’marketplace liquidity hack’ which encourages neighbors to share items.
- SocialCyclist, New York, USA – an app that encourages bike riders to map their preferred routes, report hazardous road conditions and vote on their preferred site locations for future cycling infrastructure.
The three finalists will take to the stage at the New Cities Summit 2014 in Dallas, Texas, June 17-19. Each one will present their app to the audience of 800 urban leaders and thinkers. The audience will cast a live vote for the best app, and the winner will walk away with the $5,000 award. Read more about the finalists here.
